My vedict is not yet in, Nanson.  I like both Photoshop and PSP.  I would not give up my PSP and be left with only Photoshop.  But I have not been working long enough yet with PS.  There are things I like about it.  But I am glad that I started out with PSP.  It is so much easier to use.  But there may be things in PS that I have not discovered yet that would make it easier.  Time will tell.  I do like the persepective function.

How the layer styles? Have you played with them yet?

I know they're new in PSP but PS has had them a while. Are they really all that wonderful a function?

Yes, I do like the layers better.  PS's layers have a little thumbnail of each layer in the layer palette.  That is a nice feature.

Oh maybe you don't mean that.  I see layer styles on here.  I haven't played with that much yet.

Two other things I have discovered that I really like: 1] the blur tool in PS works much much better than the soften tool in psp. and 2] there is an outline function in PS whick they call stroke....you can outline the edges of what you have drawn if you want to.

Yes, that's it's. I'm just curious about it is and what it can do.

The stroke feature will be a fun one once you try it, I have or had a couple of scripts that would mimic that in PSP and I would assume it will be more functional in PS.

Thanks for the info..:)

I checked out PhotoShop as a substitute for PSP

I have decided on Corel Draw Suites (X3) and Painter

That combination is very powerful...and cheaper than an identical package in Adobe..but I am not on a Mac so that might make some difference

There isn't anything I can't do with Draw Suite and Painter..
