After looking around I thought I would just clarify a few things.
Please let me know if I have this correct?

1. The Challenge is posted on Wednesday and closes on Sunday.
2. The Just For Fun runs all month... no hurry.... and we can use
a variety of programs to construct our image. example: the
image above I used Expression and PSP.
3. We can post a tutorial for anything in Hard as Nails.  Do we only
post results for the tutorials listed, or any tutorial we do?
4. If I paint a picture in Painter can I show it in PlusPlace?

I am new to forums.  I don't do 3D so painting, pixeling and
vectors is about what I share... LOL.

Well, got to get some sleep.  CU in the morning with coffee.

I think Holder now posts the challenge late Tuesday evenings (EST) but yes it does close on Sunday.

Just for Funs can be done any time in any order.  At the beginning of each month I post two galleries which include all the images posted in Plus Place and 3D Forum during the preceeding month.  If you have posted in either forum you can vote for one image in each gallery and the winners are announced a few days later.  Yes you can use any graphics programs.  We are called Pluspsp as we do not restrict the use of other programs nor are we solely for PSP.

3. We can post a tutorial for anything in Hard as Nails. Do we only post results for the tutorials listed, or any tutorial we do?
Hard as Nails is for NEW tutorials which members have made.  You can post for comments on your tutorial or for people to try them out.  The images made from any tutorial at all are posted in Plus Place.

4. If I paint a picture in Painter can I show it in PlusPlace?
You can post images made with any graphics program, apart from 3D programs, in Plus Place and they will be included in the gallery.  The only restriction is the file size must not exceed 80kb.   Images made with 3D programs are posted in the 3D forum

I hope this helps.  We hope you will have fun with us and don't worry if you post in the wrong forum, we can soon move it.  So far we have not fired any members who have done so    rofl

Thank you Topsy.  I do love experimenting with other programs.

 I have several questions.

If I post something that I've done, it is liable to have pieces of an earlier tut or an image from somewhere that I've used such as free stock photos.

I do frames mostly and I try various effects and scripts. I also do tags.

I do not attempt to show others work as my own, but I do use tubes that are in supplies for one tut in other projects of mine.

How do I know what is or isn't allowed? )))

I have no idea where to post examples of my graphics or even how. When you say 80, is it from being compressed?

:_Also I have eight graphics programs and often use them on the same image for different effects. Is this allowed?

As you can see, it is all new to me!

If you have done the tut then that is your work and fine to use.  Something like tubes or free photos are also acceptable, just say where they came from

As long as the author of the tut has given permission for the tubes to be used in other ways that is fine as well.

The one thing we do not allow is the use of anything that is copyrighted to another person, unless that person has given permission to use it and then you could give that person some credit in your posting.  I don't mean on your actual image.

If you do a challenge image it is posted in the challenge forum.  Any images made with 3D programs are posted in 3D forum.  All others are posted in Plus Place.  If you want to show off some photos then post in the Cafe.  80KB is the maximum file size of the finished graphic.  We have to do this for 2 reasons, lack of space on our FTP and consideration for those on dialup.

To post your images you will need web space or use one of the free ones like photobucket.  Upload your image to that and then follow the directions on this link
http://www.pluspsp.com/forums/forum3/760.html

Also I have eight graphics programs and often use them on the same image for different effects. Is this allowed?
Sure you can use as many graphic programs as you like.  You might like to say which ones you have used sometimes, as it is interesting to see what can be done with different programs.  A lot of the members use PSP, some use PI, others use a combination of programs.

HTH if not just shout.
