Whenever I check "Image Information" in the PSP8 program, I don't see anything that shows the kb size. Just the facts such as 400 x 400, 72 ppi, etc. I upload the photo to Photobucket and look at it there because the kb size is shown there.
So, how do I check it in PSP?

You can use the optimizers, File>export> -- optimzer

Or you can go to View>Preview in web browser

When I click on image info in psp (used my Cape May image) it said 93K memory used right in the info list.  Photobucket said 91K.  Guess I'd better shrink it of the gallery.

Psp only gave me that info after I saved it.  :?

Preview in Browser will give you the file size that you would have if saved and posted but if will not change what is in your workspace.

Well this is interesting.  When I do my images in psp7 the information I need shows on the task bar on the right side.  This includes images of any format.

Interesting is right.  But I'm only showing dimensions, no kb's.  Oh, and colors.

I always use the jpeg Optimizer to get the file below 80.

Thank you all for your input. I found that Preview in Web Browser works best for me. My taskbar info shows only the dimensions and colors also.

The jpeg optimizer always shows the file size so you can change the compression if you need to adjust it, and be sure before you save it that you have it below 80KB.

I've never used the jpeg optimizer.  Guess I'd better go learn how to do that.  Thanks.
