wonder if anyone can solve the prob!  when I open up the Start menu I used to have Printers and Faxes listed there together with Control Panel etc  and now its disappeared!  I can of course click on Control Panel to find it  but wondered how to restore it in the Start Panel menu!

I have Windows XP

You should be able to right click on it in the control panel and send a shortcut to the start menu. Hope this helps.

hey Columbine, are you talking about the liat above the All Programs? I think they come up on the list when you open them. If there is aomething there you don't want, right click and click Remove from list. When you do this it makes room for another one. Just keep clicking til you see the one you want.
Hope this helps, Faye

Col...the list will change as you open different programmes. I have mine set with permanent ones I use all the time. All you have to do is drag the programme name up to the top box.

Columbine, try this:

Right click on the Start button
Left click on Properties
Left click "Start Menu" tab

I don't use the "Classic Start Menu" , so my "Start menu" radio button is selected.  Then:

Click the Customize button
Click the Advanced tab
Check mark in the "Printers and Faxes" box (us the scroll down to get to that option)

Then OK and OK

Hope this helps!
