I use to make this little farm toy and give it as gifts when my daughter was young.  I don't have the original any more to guide me but it was very similar.  Each animal and the farmer had different textured fabric to mimic what it was: Boots out of leather, etc.  The Rooster had to be in this set....LOL.  I do believe there was also a cow, but it looked pretty crowded already.  Done completely with the line tool and selection tool in pspv7.

I was gonna try an embroidered effect.

What a really neat idea!  I bet all the kids loved it too.  Your graphic representation is wonderful.

Thank you for the compliments:  let me see,  what did I do for the cloth effect.

Filters Unlimited 1 canvas with custome settings; I just fiddled around.
Then PSP Inner Bevel - Pillow Effect default settings.  It was too dark so I used
adjust lighteness/darkness to lighten it up.
Not sure but I may have used a slight sepia filter effect also.
Then a very minimal horizonal Blinds filter effect.

Yes, the kids loved them.  It was a very soft pillow just right for a crib.

What a great idea to use the line tool for that, Joyce.  It's easy to forget about those various line settings.  Darling characters and the rooster is a perfect addition for this.
