After seeing Judy's terrific pics of the puppies and cats, I remembered seeing a tutorial on doing something called "smudge painting".  The tutorial I found is for Photo Shop, but I bet some of you artistic folks like Judy and others could do it in PSP.  Looks like Judy would already be a pro!  Here's a link if some of you might be interested at least to get some ideas:

I'm not artistic enough to even attempt it LOL.

What I did was very easy. I sort of adapted the tut Columbine posted. I'll be back later with how I did it. I have to do it again so I can write it down.

Thanks for the Link.

I've posted a tut to show how I combined the cats anf flowers with the brushstroke. It can be found in as Hard as Nails. Hope you will try as it's very easy.

Thanks for the link.  This is cool.  Here is a fast draft.  If I take more time, I think this would be great!!

Thanks.  That was only about a 5 minute try, but I also had a great subject with which to work.  Off now to try your Hard as Nails tut.

WOW, Joanne!  That sure looks like more than 5 minutes worth of work to me!  That looks terrific.  Wouldn't it be great to do one to print at say an 8x10 to frame?  Looks like a painting to me.  Of course, you'd have to do one of all the g'kids  because they'd all want one LOL!
