A temple standing within a sandy plateau.

This is a picture that I was working on, but gave up as I really didnt see it going anywhere.  But seen as I had already rendered it, I thought I would post it here.

If anyone has any ideas for it, then I may update it, but if not, just enjoy!

Made in Bryce and PSP...comments welcome.

Nicely done Iceman. I have no suggestions for you but I bet Steve (Alahuin) can give you some suggestions!

Each person's personal perception of what they see is different. My own perception of the image, which is of value only to myself, is that the Temple, it's textures and clinging vegetation are superbly represented. The ripples on the sandy plateau do indeed look like what they represent, however, I feel that the texture on the sand gives it a watery appearance, like it rained and hasn't dried out yet and the snow (with no erosion marks) on the mountains tends to flatten them somewhat.

I would appreciate similar comments on my own images to better understand how others perceive them..

I think it is lovely, and showing great potential. I would start by refelecting the temple in the water, and see where that leads.

Lovely temple but it didn't strike me as a sandy plateau

It's a lovely image. I can see something left there by a flood and the receding waters.
I can see a faint reflection in the water of the temple now.

Mmmm...Thanks for the input all. I may get back to this picture a bit later on adding a few of your comments to it.

The sand is wet (it is ment to be) but the texture was not quite right with it...plus as Topsy has said, its not looking like a sandy plateau. However, your points are all well made and if I continue it I will look at changing things, although I thought (imho) that there was enough reflection of the temple in the wet sand as I did not want to over-do that with it not being a full water base.

But thanks ... It gives me food for thought. ;_)
