I realised that although a realistic scene looking into a room might be too tricky, a view out of the window from inside is possible. So this is the view from insde the drawing room, with the lady of the house on her balcony. She is looking out across the square and its central garden with grass, flowers and trees, towards the terrace of identical townhouses on the other side.
Vue Pro Studio 6 image with PhotoImpact 12 postwork. The extra houses made this too large a file for Vue, and it would not reproduce the sky and light colours properly, so there was a blue cast, like haze, over the houses, which I had to correct in PI.
