Vue 7 Pro Studio render. I started with a seascape because Vue 7 has a whole new way of handling water. You can get real-looking swells and waves with foam on top of the waves if you want it, and you can change the wind direction so the direction of the waves changes. So here we have a sailing ship in a high sea, with dangerous rocks around.

I am going to have to do some 'housekeeping' before I can really get down to it, cos E-on have been a bit naughty with this one. A huge amount of the objects and materials in the program are ones you don't own, and have to buy before you can use them. The ones you can use are on a cd, and if you want them displayed in the program you need to install them. And I have hundreds of objects, plants, materials and so on that I made, bought or imported that I need to copy in from earlier versions, so before I try any serious study I am going to sort all that out. But I had to do one, to try it out. I like 7. It has some great new features and renders faster than 6 did.

The renders seem to be much more realistic in Vue7 Carol. The waves, water and sky are wonderful. I like the splashing out when the waves hit the rocks and the foam on the water. The image looks much sharper to me too!

I agree with Sue, I think the image is much sharper with this version. I just love the whole picture, so realistic and you feel like the sea is moving as you look at it.

The splashes and foam round the rocks are extra objects I added - I had those splashes with Vue 6 too, but the foam on the waves is Vue7. Believe it or not, those splashes are treated as plants, and you add them and position them just like you would a tree. Like plants, no two splashes are exactly the same.
