I decided to try animating a Vue snowglobe. I rendered 3 copies of the image, moving the snow down a little in the globe between copies, and also rendered a mask so I could remove the globes from their background. Then I put them in PhotoImpact, Used the mask to isolate the globes and put them on layers in a single image. Then I made three transparent gifs, each with one of the images visible. Finally used Animation Shop to make the animation from these gifs.

I kept it small because I wasn't sure how big an image I could use from Vue in an anim, but I could have made it a bit bigger, cos the finished anim is only 47K. It was very quick and easy to do. When the snowglobe season comes round again I will try a bigger one, but for now I am satisfied to know it can be done.

You can make proper movies using Vue, but they make big files and for a snowglobe I preferred to go down the road of using gifs and anim shop.

Beautifully done Carol! The sharpness of the images in Vue7 makes it look like you just picked it up and shook it!

Beautiful, Carol. It snowed here a bit in pellets yesterday..called sleet over here. That was the required snow after the forsythia bloom.
