Donna posted some tips over in the Challenge forum about how she makes gold in PSP using the Chrome tool and I thought I'd post one of my methods. I don't have any of the fancy add-ons so this is done with only PSP. I'm using PSP8.

I like to use the Sculpture tool to make gold. Here are some examples:

The first one uses the Gold pattern that comes with PSP. The second one uses a square of the nice gold color that Donna used in her tips. Sometimes, odd things work good for gold, too. On the bottom row, the first one used Citrus Peel, the second used Stained Glass, and the third Cork. I think the Cork one makes a nice old gold look.

Here are the settings I used for these:

The setting you will want to play with are Smoothness, Depth, Shininess, and Intensity. Especially the last 2.

If anyone else has tips on how to make nice gold, feel free to post it here.

I've used your tut for this before and it is great. Lost it, along with all my other bookmarks, so I'm glad to find it again.

Nanson I've used your method often. I couldn't remember where I got it. It works great.
