This is how I did the Cat and Flower photo's I posted in Plus.
Here is my Finshed Result for this Tut

Photo's I used. You are welcome to use these or your own

Just right click and save to your comuter.
Open both Photo's.
Minimize Birch one
Enhance photo of Harley. One Step Photo Fix. I did this as I wanted him a bit darker.
Depends on what photo you use.
Cut out Harley with Selection tool, Freehand using these settings

Copy Harley to ClipBoard
CTRL-C
Open Birch Photo
New Raster Layer
CTRL-E to paste Harley to new layer
Keep Harley selected
Go to Selection Modify
Contract, Contract by 1
Invert
Delete Twice.
I did it twice but it would depend on what Photo you use and how much of it you want to remove.
Use the eraser tool to clean the edges of Harley.
Duplicate Harley.( I duplicated Harley to make the edges clearer)
Merge Visable.
Go to Art Media Brushstroke effects
I used these settings. You can play and get the effects you want.

Tip
You could leave Photo's unmerged and give them both different effects.
Hope you will try this as it's very easy.

Cool tut. Again, this is a quick trial, but I think this is something I will continue to work on. Just grabbed 2 pics. The size of doge compared to house is not right, but it makes a pic of dog in front of house.

Thanks for posting this. It is great fun!

You did a Terrific job. Thanks for trying it! I would have posted but didn't think to do it, until Mzbet posted her link. It's so easy!
Perhaps you could enlarge your background image before you add the dog. They go so well together.

Took these photos last night of my two favorite yards. I just love this tree. Thank you Judy for the tut. I use v7 so I don't have the art media tools, but I did use the feathered edge when cutting out with the lasso tool. I don't think I would have done that otherwise. Fun way to have your dream yards. LOL.

| Thank you. LOL. Forsynthia is a bush and not a tree.... I knew that but mine never got this big.
