Holder and her husband live on the "Northcoast" of Ohio, USA. He and their two children have made Holder broaden her horizons a
bit. One son graduated from college in fine arts and the other in psychology. The psychology student, like many other
graduates, changed careers and became a computer network administrator.
Holder's husband took up oil painting about eleven years ago. This combination of interests got Holder first into computers and then into computer art. Getting online gave her
a great opportunity to extend her research in genealogy first and then reading about computer graphics. Beginning with
drawing cartoons for her genealogy friends in the little paint program that came with the computer, sparked an
interest in finding a better painting program. After getting a better computer, Holder bought Paint Shop Pro and hasn't stopped
"creating" images since.
One of Holder's main interests now in computer art is cartooning. Feeling that she is "not too good" at reality graphics or "painting"
especially, Holder does enjoy improving her skills in cartooning. In genealogy right now, the main interest is in identifying the
soldiers of the 120th Regiment of the Ohio Volunteer Infantry in America's Civil War. Between genealogy and art, Holder has
four websites.
Holder's "passive" interests are listening to talk radio and to music from the 60's on the "oldies" station.
