Cathieq resides in Clinton country with her husband of 34 years, 3 anoles, a tub of crickets, and 7 furry companions.   When not painting and cleaning up behind her menagerie, she teaches 8th grade Earth Science at a local middle school.

Cathieq has been sketching and painting since she was old enough to hold a pencil.   In her mother's words: "It was the only way the family could get her to sit still and shut up."   Her mother was a classically trained pianist and taught music in her spare time.   One of Cathieq's regrets is that she flunked her mother's piano lessons and so never advanced by Chopsticks.

Cathieq's favorite graphic programs besides PSP are Microsoft's Expressions and Corel Painter.   Though she has been involved in computers since the early ???s, she only recently became addicted to digital art.   Her first attempt at digital painting was posted on the Hard as Nails forum and she credits the wonderful feedback she received as "adding fuel to the fire."

Cathieq is Coordinator for Hard as Nails Tutorial forum and helps to look after Suggestion Box and Test forums.
