GUIDELINES FOR POSTING ON THE HARD AS NAILS FORUM

The purpose of this Forum is to provide a platform for people to help each other to develop their skills in tutorial writing in an atmosphere of friendly co-operation and mutual respect.

If you post a tutorial in the Hard as Nails Forum, you are inviting your fellow Members to critique your work. In that sense you need to be hard as nails - able to accept criticism, take it on board, and experiment with the advice given.

Therefore do not post work in this Forum that you regard as finished and do not wish to change. Images made from the tutorial can be posted in The Plus Place. You may also ask here if you need help or advice with parts of the tutorial you are writing. If anyone needs help on how to do a particular thing with their graphics, they are free to request this in the form of a mini tut and hopefully someone will respond.

If you critique a posted tutorial you must respond with constructive criticism. The Moderator of the Forum will delete postings which say something like 'The tutorial is rubbish' and make no attempt to suggest how it may be improved.

There must be no flaming or insults. Again, the Moderator will delete any postings which break this rule. Remember that friendship and a desire to help each other must prevail at all times.

As with all the +PSP forums, to post an image in a message you must first upload it to your own server. If your server allows hot linking, then put the URL for the image in the IMAGE URL box below the message box. If your server does not allow hot linking, put the image URL in the LINK URL box, and its title in the LINK TITLE box. The title is vital - without it your link will be invisible. Some servers will not allow you to link directly to an image filename at all. In that case, prepare a page which displays your image and upload that with the image to your server. Put the URL for the page in the LINK URL box, and the image title in the LINK TITLE box.
