Here is an easy way to remove drop shadows.

  • 1) Open a new transparent image about 400x400
  • 2) Put your tube on the image
  • 3) Click Selection/select all
  • 4) Use your magic wand and click on the tube, it should outline the tube and shadow
  • 5) Click on Selections and scroll to defloat and click
  • 6) Using the magic wand (not the mover tool) drag the tube to another clear part of the image, you should see at least some of the drop shadow left behind
  • 7) Continue doing steps 5 and 6 till all the shadow is removed.
